Call for Papers:
I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 1st Irish Penology Symposium, which this year will be hosted by the Law Faculty of Griffith College, Cork.
I will be co-organising the symposium with Clíodhna Dineen, LLB, LLM, Head of the Law Department at Griffith College, Cork.
We plan to hold the symposium on Friday the 18th of November, depending on people's availability.
I am also pleased to extend an invitation to those of you who would like to join our Penology Network. I had given the group the title Irish Penology Network, but soon changed this to the CRIMSOC Penology Network to link this network with the CRIMSOC initiative and journal. It also reflects our international membership.
The new Penology Network website is still being developed, and carries the new CRIMSOC Penology Group title.
Contact me with your details and I will include you on our Members Page. It is also planned to publish a special issue of the CRIMSOC Journal with the symposium proceedings, to be edited by Clíodhna and myself. CRIMSOC homepage.
