Call for Papers: the Prison Journal 'Irish' Edition

The Prison Journal: An International Forum on Incarceration and Alternative Sanctions will publish a special edition on 'Prisons in Ireland'. The Special Edition on 'Prisons in Ireland' will accept articles on prisons, prisoners, prison officers, gender, psychology, young offenders, training, recidivism, restorative justice and rights issues pertaining to the prison systems in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Articles from other jurisdictions which have a relevance to Ireland or Irish prisoners will also be considered.

37th Annual conference of the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control August 2009
The University of Central Lancashire Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice is pleased to announce that the 37th Annual conference of the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control will take place at the University of Central Lancashire on the 26th August 2009 to the 29th August 2009.

The Journal of Social Criminology is now accepting submissions for its inaugural edition. Submission details are as follows:
Social Criminology will publish a collection of papers from an international pool of academics and researchers on a twice yearly basis.
